Cheer Is Fearless Allstars Closed??!!

So as a cheer mom who has been a Fearless Allstars for a couple years I am now concerned!!! The gym announced they were closed effective immediately 2hours before practice because we were moving to a new location but it didn’t say where or when we would reopen. We finally got an address and I called the building owner/landlord yesterday and they told me they were NOT leasing that space to us. I drove by our current location and there is red tape across the door that says “do not enter” and it is from the landlord. Does anyone know anything for sure I am concerned as I already paid my registration fee and I am sure others have as also.

A friend of mine cheers at Fearless and she is really concerned too. She drove by the gym and saw the same sign on the door (she even took a pic because she was freaking out!) - it's from the county not the landlord and says it's a misdemeanor to be inside! She also heard that the owner was still letting girls tumble there in spite of the sign. Doesn't look good... Sorry!

The big move is here!!! Fearless AllStars will be closed temporarily effective immediately!! As of today June 11, 2012 Fearless AllStars will be closed in order to prepare the current gym for the big move to the new gym! Any parent volunteers that are available to assist in moving from the current gym location to the new location on Parklawn Dr. this Sunday, please contact Nick @ FearlessAllStars@yahoo.com or cell 301-992-4098 for details. Construction is in progress at the new gym.

The fact that there was no communication about the transitioning to a new location other than what is on the website would be a red flag for me. Have you tried to contact the gym owner? If so and you haven't gotten a response within 48 hours I would be looking for a new gym. I hope it all works out for you.

Seems like everyone should have been informed ahead of time, but have you guys tried calling the owner? or did you just go straight to fierceboard?

If this is his 7th gym (I don't know the facts, just going off the post above), I would say there is cause to worry. Hope everything works out for the families and coaches at Fearless, too much drama in MD!

Well, the writing was on the wall, huh? What a mess for these athletes and families.

That's so shady a tan-aholic like me can't even find a ray of sunshine. I'd be looking for a new gym pronto. Good luck.

My friend's 2 daughters do not cheer at Fearless, but were supposed to start cheer camp there next Monday - paid for and everything. She cannot get anyone to call her back or answer her emails about what is going on. She didn't even know the current location suddenly closed until someone pointed out the Website to her. I guess one week of camp doesn't compare to the parents that have potentially paid registration and monthly fees. What a mess - hope everything works out for the families, athletes and coaches.
