State All Stars will be there!
Spirit of Texas will be making their debut with the full program attending!
Quick question-I know Cheer Tech requires 90% of a program to be in attendance in order for a team to receive a bid. Is Cheersport like this as well?
no...2 completely separate companies
Aviator Allstars is bringing levels 3-5 again. So excited, CHEERSPORT is my favorite competition all season!
Nope. We only had 5 of our ten teams there last year and got a bid.
That is why a large number of decent teams refuse to go to Cheertech's anymore. He makes the rules up and changes them when he wants.
Rules like that tell me it's all about money and not quality cheer. We don't have cheer tech in our area that I'm aware of but it doesn't sound like something we'd be in favor of attending.
Thanks for all the info. We are members of a brand new gym going to a variety of competitions by different companies, but I wasn't sure if they all had similiar rules. Our senior 3 and 5 teams are attending Cheersport.
You will love it! What gym? My son is on a sr 3 (small) and I like to cheer for fellow fierce boarders!
Iconix Allstars-Salem, VA Best of luck this season!!!
This makes so happy. I pray our program attends.
We'll be there with everyone but Tinys
Wait, I thought he and your daughter were both on the same J4 team - is he double teaming? (So now you'll have to be in the gym all the time anyway, which you were looking forward to avoiding You must be a registered user to view images. )
ETA - I promise I'm not a crazy cheer stalker, lol. I just find your posts informative/humorous and so I remember you talking about this.

Baha! You are correct! They are both on the J4 but his squadron commander and his coaches worked out a compromise to keep him in his squadron for the summer and make it so he was able to cross to the Sm Sr. CoEd 3 like they asked him to. He's really liking that team. It's the first time he's been on a senior team (been on young juniors his whole time) and where he likes the J4 because it really pushes him skill wise, he's really liking the atmosphere with older kids on the Sr3.
And far be it for us to actually NOT be in the gym 4-5 days a week You must be a registered user to view images.
ETA: It IS bazaar for still being Junior age that he's actually the tallest one on the senior team. I think they needed a backspot and that's why they asked him to cross.
I don't know if we're going yet, but I hope we do! I felt left out last year!
I don't think CAC goes to cheersport nationals. They'll do the regional ones but I think the conflict of interest keeps them from attending in Atlanta. Not sure if they go to NCA instead but I haven't seen Charlotte (outside of the special needs team) at cheersport in the last two years. You must be a registered user to view images.
I don't know...
Anyway, I'm hoping we go to some different comps this year. My cp was level 2 last season, which kept us out of NCA, etc. Only our level 5s went to those. The lower levels went to more of the smaller, local level comps. The ones we went to last year were fun, but I think a change of scenery and some more of the big ones would be interesting! We'll be finding out soon! Either way, we're looking forward to the season!
Keystone Extreme will be there again!
